MITSUBISHI ELECTRIC Changes for the Better
Slovenia

Saving precious resources

Integrating sustainability into the water industry involves a multifaceted approach – combining closed-loop economy principles, technological advances, responsible practices and public awareness. Prudent management of natural resources is part of Mitsubishi Electric's DNA.

It stems from Japan's experience in building a society, culture and industry under conditions of limited access to natural resources. We are committed to achieving sustainable manufacturing by providing advanced energy-saving solutions and utilising our automation technology to help
address decarbonisation issues and labor shortages.

We effectively combine social and economic values for the benefit of all our customers and environment.

Work with those who care

Mitsubishi Electric implements sustainability best practices in its workshops and embeds it in its projects. The Carbon Disclosure Project ranks Mitsubishi Electric on its “A List” in recognition of CDP’s  highest evaluation for our work in two fields: Climate Change and Water Security.

In 2024 Mitsubishi Electric Corporation was awarded the distinction of 2023’s ‘Supplier Engagement Leader’, its highest ranking in the Carbon Disclosure Project.

Mitsubishi Electric has earned a top rating for excellence both in strategies and in actions to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and climate-change risks throughout the whole of its supply chain.

We save resources by implementing appropriate solutions in our own facilities:

  • We optimise the control of temperature-controlled clean rooms and offices,
  • We maintain a continuous energy monitoring system for our manufacturing processes,
  • We have an initiative for water saving/water reuse in our factories,
  • Our primary focus is on enhancing the efficiency of production equipment and lines,
  • We are resolutely committed to achieving full plastic waste utilisation by 2035.

Mitsubishi Electric's engineers are constantly working to make our technologies as sustainable as possible. Our commitment to reducing energy consumption encompasses various aspects of production utilities, including water usage. To further advance sustainable energy practices,
we expand our reliance on renewable energy sources, incorporating carbon offset energy solution.
